Berlin is forever changing

The atmosphere of this oscillating metropolis is best described as – Berlin does not stand still, Berlin is always on the go. Always changing, always developing and yet unmistakable. That is exactly what has been attracting more and more international visitors within the last years. Since the city was founded in the 13th century, it has undergone major changes which have become historic. The last milestone in history made Berlin from a city which had been divided for decades into one of Europe’s pulsating creative centres.Berlin rocks, glitters, shines and captivates you, yes Berlin is Europe’s most exciting metropolis. More than one reason can be found for a visit, which is proven by the great number of “recidivists”. The experience can be a novelty every time.Tradition and New Discovery

It is the historic changes that we have to thank, that there is more than one centre and more than one nightlife district. A huge number of sites and events, art and culture, theatres, shows and parties want to be discovered. In Berlin it is possible to have loads of fun for little money. After all one of Berlin’s official slogans goes: ”The only city in the world that does not cost the world.” Berlin awaits gay and lesbian visitors with more than one hot spot! The traditional centres are in Schöneberg around Motzstraße, in Kreuzberg Oranienstraße and Mehringdamm and in Prenzlauer Berg around Gleimstraße and Schönhauser Allee. More and more gay and lesbian pubs, bars and clubs make Friedrichshain and Neukölln in-districts! The scene has many facettes.

Welcome to Berlin!

Berlin sets trends. In 2010 more than 20 million visitors came to the capital, which is yet another record and rates the city as one of the three most popular destinations among European metropolises.

The exciting cultural life boasts three great operas, many theatre stages, renowned concert halls and 180 museums as well as a lively gallery scene; needless to say this attracts visitors from all over the world as much as the cosmopolitan and tolerant atmosphere in the metropolis with its legendary bars and clubs. Annual highlights like Pride Week with the gay-lesbian fair around Nollendorfplatz and the big parade on Christopher Street Day are a magnet for hundreds of thousands.
Now that more than two decades have passed since the peaceful revolution, the fall of the wall and the reunification of the city, Berlin fascinates everyone with its diversity. Apart from contemporary architecture there is a lot of moving history to discover. And over and over again friendly corners and parks invite you to relax in this dynamic metropolis.

Go with the flow of the city. I wish you a lovely, inspiring stay which you will always remember fondly and can only add once more: Welcome in Berlin!
