Gay and Lesbian Events in Berlin
Without doubt, Berlin is not only capital but also gay-lesbian capital of Germany. Highlights on the agenda are definitely Gay Pride and Pride Week with a large streetfair in and around Motzstraße in Berlin-Schöneberg and last but not least the fetish specials.
Leather guys and fetish lovers meet at Folsom Europe Berlin for the 7th time this year, it is so-to-say the little brother of the big San Francisco event. For many years fetish friends and leather lovers have been meeting at Easter for the Berliner Leder und Fetischtreffen, this classic event is brought on by Berliner Lederund Fetisch e.V. culminating in the German Mr Leather contest. One of the hottest Events is Hustlaball a huge get together of international sexworkers with breathtaking live performances. Hustlaball’s 25th anniversary is celebrated with a Circuit-Party-Weekend.

Queer Cinema
In Berlin you not only constantly see filmcrews here, there and everywhere, the city also plays the main role in many a film. For fans a visit to Filmhaus am Potsdamer Platz (Filmmuseum) with its constantly changing exhibitions is inevitable. Movie fans get the red carpet treatment in February when it is Berlinale time. One of its highlights is the Teddy Awards, the official gay-lesbian and transgender awards of the Berlinale. The international queer filmfestival Verzaubert also shows cineastic highlights. Meet Berlin filmfans at Kino International in Mitte for Mongay at the beginning of the week, visit CinemaxX at Potsdamer Platz for L-Filmnacht (movies, girls and fun) and Gay-Filmnacht (the same for the boys) or Kino Xenon in Schöneberg with its gay-lesbian features.
